Abstract

ABSTRACT The study examine the Influence of Computer Instructional Strategy and Social Media on Physics Students' Performance in Dekina. Three Research questions and objectives was used for the study, the design was descriptive survey, population was 765 SS2 physics students in Dekina with sample size of 140 SS2 physics students from 4 schools using purposive sampling sampling technique, Questionnaire with 4-point Likert scale was instrument used for data collection, the instrument was face validated by three experts from faculty of education and measurement evaluation, reliability was 0.82 determine using Cronbach Alpha, data collection was in-person at schools, the data was analyzed using mean and standard deviation, the findings of the study shows that computer strategies improved physics performance, Social media had positive effects, with some challenges, Combining computers and social media helped students, especially girls and these methods made physics more understandable and interesting. The study recommended that equip physics classrooms with necessary computer hardware and software for interactive learning through Conducting a needs assessment, procure appropriate technology, and install it in classrooms by School administrators, IT departments, and education ministries, develop and incorporate physics-specific digital content and simulations into the curriculum through creating or acquiring interactive physics simulations and integrate them into lesson plans by curriculum developers, physics teachers, and educational technology experts.
