Abstract

Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are a major global health challenge, with millions of new cases reported annually. They can lead to severe health complications, including infertility, chronic pain, and even death, if not treated promptly. In developing countries, the prevalence of STDs remains high, largely due to inadequate knowledge, misconceptions, and insufficient health education. Among the youth, particularly college students, awareness of STDs and preventive practices is crucial in curbing the spread of these infections. This study focuses on assessing the awareness and knowledge of sexually transmitted diseases among students at the College of Health Science and Technology, Offa, Kwara State.
