Abstract

Academic planning is a necessary condition in the development of institutions. The deployment of technology and computing systems is of immediate concern. The proposed system in this research introduced Cloud-Based Academic Planning Suite for Chrisland University, with a view to developing a designed system that streamlines and automates academic management processes. It integrated modules for course registration, CGPA computation, document storage, academic scheduling and real-time adviser–student communication. Using web and cloud technologies such as React.js, Node.js, and AWS, the system ensured scalability, accessibility, and data security. To enhance functionality, relational databases were used for academic record management, while mathematical models were implemented for accurate CGPA computation and performance analysis. The system’s architecture supports role-based dashboard for students, advisers, and administrators, enabling effective decision-making and improved monitoring of academic progress. Testing and evaluation confirmed that the suite improves efficiency, minimises manual errors and supports data-driven academic planning. Overall, the system demonstrates the potential of cloud computing to enhance digital transformation in higher education by providing an adaptable and user-friendly academic management platform for university communities.
