PROPOSED HONDA AUTO-MOBILE HUB, ISHERI, OGUN STATE, NIGERIA: ENHANCING EFFECTIVE CIRCULATION IN AUTO-MOBILE HUBS
Abstract
This study presents a design proposal for a Honda Automobile Hub in Isheri, Ogun State, Nigeria, with a focus on enhancing effective circulation within automobile hubs. Automobile hubs serve as centers for vehicle sales, servicing, logistics, and customer interaction, requiring efficient movement of vehicles, staff, and clients. The research adopts a qualitative design approach, drawing from transport hub theories and existing automotive facility models. Findings reveal that poor spatial planning, traffic congestion, and lack of functional zoning are major issues affecting circulation in automobile hubs. The study proposes a design framework incorporating zoning, circulation hierarchy, and technological integration to improve operational efficiency and user experience
