Abstract

Cassava plays a pivotal role in food security and economic sustenance as it is a staple crop for millions of people worldwide,. The processing of cassava into various products can be a labor-intensive and time-consuming task, often relying on traditional dewatering methods. This project aims to revolutionize cassava processing by designing and simulating a Hydraulic Cassava Dewatering Machine. The Hydraulic Cassava Dewatering Machine leverages hydraulic principles to efficiently remove excess water from cassava mash, ensuring consistent and precise moisture content. The project embarks on an exploration of the design and simulation processes, involving the intricacies of hydraulic systems, pressure distribution, and control mechanisms. Simulation of the machine will enable the assessment of the machine's performance, the optimization of parameters, and the prediction of real-world outcomes. By delving into the design and simulation of this innovative machine, this project aspires to address the limitations of traditional cassava dewatering methods, offering increased efficiency, labor savings, improved product quality, and enhanced environmental sustainability. The ability to measure the machine’s adaptability to various processing scales makes it a versatile solution for both small-scale community operations and large commercial facilities.
