Abstract

The poultry industry in Nigeria plays a vital role in providing a source of income, employment, and food production. However, poultry farm management faces numerous challenges, including manual record-keeping, inefficient data management, and limited access to real-time information. This project aims to design and implement a computerized farm management information system specifically tailored for poultry farms in Nigeria. The system will streamline data collection, automate processes, provide real-time information, and offer decision support tools to enhance farm productivity, efficiency, and profitability. The project will involve analyzing the existing farm management practices, designing a database system, developing user-friendly interfaces, integrating decision support tools, and evaluating the system's usability and effectiveness through field testing. The successful implementation of this computerized farm management information system will provide poultry farmers in Nigeria with a powerful tool to optimize their operations, improve decision-making, and contribute to the growth and sustainability of the poultry industry.
