COMPUTERIZED STAFF RECORD KEEPING SYSTEM (A CASE STUDY OF ZAMFARA STATE UBE)
Abstract
ABSTRACT
This project focuses on the design and implementation of a Computerized Staff Record Keeping System, using Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board (UBE) as a case study. The study was carried out to address the challenges associated with the traditional manual method of staff record management, such as data redundancy, loss of records, time consumption, and inefficiency in retrieving information.
The objectives of the study include developing a reliable, efficient, and secure computerized system that can store, manage, and retrieve staff information with ease. Data for the research were collected through interviews, observation, and review of existing documents within the organization.
The system was designed using modern programming techniques and database management systems to ensure accuracy, data integrity, and quick access to information. The implementation of the computerized system improves staff data management, reduces errors, enhances security, and increases overall organizational efficiency.
The findings reveal that adopting a computerized record keeping system significantly improves performance compared to the manual system. It is therefore recommended that organizations, especially government agencies, should embrace computerized systems for effective data management and decision-making.
