Abstract

ABSTRACT The rise of antimicrobial resistance has sparked interest in alternative treatments, including plant-based antimicrobials. This study investigated the antimicrobialproperties of plant extracts against pathogenic bacteria. Plant materials werecollected, extracted, and tested against selected bacterial strains usingvariousantimicrobial assays. Phytochemical screening was conducted to identifypotentialbioactive compounds. Results showed significant antimicrobial activityof certainplant extracts against tested bacteria. The findings suggest that plant extractshavepotential as alternative or complementary treatments for bacterial infections. Further research is needed to explore their efficacy, safety, and mechanismsofaction. Keywords: Antimicrobial resistance, plant extracts, pathogenic bacteria, phytochemicals, alternative treatments.
