Abstract

Structural Element Input - Beams, columns, and slabs were drawn on each storey. - Staircases and load-bearing elements were modeled. 3.3.3 Load Application - Dead loads were automatically calculated by the software. - Live loads were applied manually according to use. - Additional loads such as parapet and finishes were input as imposed loads. 3.3.4 Load Combinations - Load combinations were generated automatically using BS 8110 combinations: - 1.4DL + 1.6LL - 1.2DL + 1.2LL + 1.2W (if wind load is considered) 3.4 Structural Analysis The model was analyzed for bending moments, shear forces, axial forces, and deflections. The analysis was carried out using the finite element method built into Prota Structure. 3.5 Design of Structural Elements
