DESIGN STRUCTURE AND RANDOM VIBRATION ANALYSIS ON AN ELECTRIC BICYCLE USING BAMBOO AS FRAME
Abstract
Design structure and random vibration analysis on an electric bicycle using bamboo as frame. Engineering courses on vibration are now of utmost importance and are necessary for any moving machine. The Lords resulting from road operation are applied to the bicycle frame as well as other components. The project is armed at designing and simulating on electric bicycle using bamboo as material, using analysis compare the structural, mechanical, and physical strength of a bamboo frame with a 5mm thickness to an aluminum frame with a 1.5mm thinness. The results of modal analysis can be utilized as a starting point for random vibration analysis and are typically use to forecast how a structure will behave when subjected to random frequency. The main topic for this project is to predict the stress distribution of the selected material for optimization. There is a requirement about the frame that it must endure stress in 1, 2 and 3rd sigma. The distribution stress in the FEA simulation as achieved for the farm. According to the result from the study of the frame using bamboo and aluminum is 151.86 MPa. Since they both can withstand the stress. The economy advantage is bamboo is more cheaper compared to aluminum.
