DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF CLOUD-BASED STORAGE SYSTEM FOR BUSINESS AND ORGANIZATION
Abstract
ABSTRACT
The increasing volume of digital information within modern businesses and organizations has intensified the demand for secure, scalable, and highly available data storage solutions. Traditional on-premise storage infrastructures often struggle with issues such as limited capacity, high maintenance costs, vulnerability to data loss, and restricted accessibility. This project focuses on the design and implementation of a cloud-based storage system aimed at addressing these challenges by providing an efficient, reliable, and cost-effective platform for data management. The system was developed using contemporary cloud technologies, incorporating features such as user authentication, role-based access control, encrypted data transmission, secure file storage, automated backup mechanisms, and real-time access from any location. A client–server architecture was adopted to ensure seamless interaction between users and the cloud environment, while security measures including encryption and user identity management were implemented to safeguard sensitive information. Testing demonstrated that the system delivers improved data accessibility, enhanced security, reduced downtime risk, and greater scalability compared to traditional storage methods. The solution is particularly beneficial for small and medium-scale organizations seeking to optimize data management without the financial burden of extensive hardware infrastructure. Overall, this project provides a functional and secure cloud-based storage system that enhances operational efficiency and supports the evolving data needs of modern organizations.
