Abstract

This project focuses on the design and installation of a 7.5kVA solar inverter system as a sustainable solution to the persistent problem of irregular power supply in our department, which had hindered practical sessions and academic productivity. The system was designed using eight 350-watt monocrystalline solar panels, four 220Ah tubular deep-cycle batteries, a 60A MPPT charge controller, and a 7.5kVA pure sine wave inverter. Component sizing was based on estimated departmental load, and the system was installed and tested to verify performance under varying load conditions. Post-installation results revealed stable output voltage, reliable battery backup, and efficient solar charging, confirming the effectiveness of the system in meeting daily energy needs. This project not only restored power for educational activities but also serves as a functional demonstration of renewable energy application in academic institutions.
