Abstract

The research titled “Structural Design of Flexible Pavement using the New Road Design Method” was to determine the thicknesses of the constituent pavement layers of the road from Tsamiya to Madanya in Mubi South LGA of Adamawa State. Soil samples along the existing road profile were taken at an interval of 100m to the geotechnical laboratory of the Department of Civil Engineering, Federal Polytechnic Mubi were the California Bearing Ratio (CBR) values were determined.at the end, the average CBR value of the soil samples was 34% and using the New Road Design method, the thickness of the constituent layers of the road were determined to be surface dressing with a 150 mm road base.
