Abstract

:perfol"““nce optimization, system reliability and operational efficiency are key characteristics of smart gri | system comprises photovoltaic array, wind turbine, asynchronous (induction) generator, controller and converters. The model is implemented using MATLAB/SIMULINK software package. The performance d systems. This project work model a smart grid-connected PV/WT hybrid- system. The proposed iof the proposed system at starting, in steady statc and under dynamic conditions is observed to be ;Lsatisfactory and the system is found suitable for water pumping in irrigation and household applications. ]The dynamic behavior of the proposed model is examined under different operating conditions. Solar :;m-adiancc, temperature and wind speed data is gathered from a grid connected, asynchronously. The proposed model and its control strategy offer a proper tool for smart grid performance optimization. ;Moreover, irrespective of the available solar radiation, the pump provides the rated discharge, without any jinterruption in grid interfaced modes of operation. This study proposes a solar photovoltaic (SPV) water ;pumping system integrated with the single phase distribution system by utilising induction motor drive j(IMD) with an intelligent power sharing concept. In addition to the power exchange from SPV to the IMD, a DC-DC boost converter is utilised as a power factor correction unit and a gfid interfacing device. For good utilisation of SPV array, it is necessary to extract maximum power from the SPV array. To meet :tlxis objective, an incremental conductance based maximum power point tracking control is implemented. Whereas, to control the IMD tied to voltage source inverter, a simple voltage/frequency control technique is used. However, this system provides a more concise and a better ways of improving technology. Its effiecient and economical to operate a smart grid system as compared to fuel fossil equipment.
