Abstract

Teenagers now spend many hours every day on social media, making it an essential part of their everyday life. Nonetheless, the possible harm that social media could do to college students' eating habits is causing parents and medical professionals to become increasingly concerned. This study was conducted at Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), in Ogun State, Nigeria, to evaluate the effect of social media on undergraduates' dietary choices. A questionnaire was utilized in this cross-sectional study to gather information from 412 FUNAAB undergraduate students. A multi-phase random sample method was employed in the participant selection process. A technique called purposive sampling was employed to choose the faculties involved. To choose the departments that were used and to give the questionnaires to all eligible and willing participants, simple random sampling was employed. Version 24 of the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) was used to analyze the data.
