Abstract

This study primarily focuses on the recycling of Waste engine oil by applying solvent acid-clay treatment process. Waste engine oil contains properties caused by oil deterioration. Hence treatment process was carried out on the used total engine oil and the result of the analysis of the product was compared with the fresh Total engine oil. However 2 liters of waste engine oil was measured out and poured into a stainless steel pot which serves as reactor and was heated to a temperature of about 150oC to remove traces of water and other volatile components contained in the waste engine oil. The content was allowed to stay for 24 hours
