Abstract

ABSTRACT This project explores the development and integration of a multi-color digital display for sports scoreboards utilizing microcontroller technology. The primary objective is to design a system that provides clear, real-time updates of game scores, timers, and other relevant information, enhancing the viewing experience for spectators and facilitating efficient event management. The PROJECT involves the selection and assembly of high-brightness RGB LED panels controlled by a microcontroller, such as an Arduino Mega or ESP32, which processes input data and updates the display accordingly. Key components include LED drivers, power supply units, communication modules for wireless control, and user-friendly input devices like keypads or touchscreens. The system's design focuses on robustness, visibility, and ease of use, with considerations for both indoor and outdoor applications. By incorporating real-time data processing and dynamic content capabilities, the scoreboard system aims to provide accurate and timely information while engaging spectators with visually appealing displays. Comprehensive testing is conducted to ensure reliability, performance, and user satisfaction. The POJECT also emphasizes modularity and scalability, allowing for future enhancements and adaptability to various sports and events. This innovative approach to sports scoreboards leverages modern technology to create a versatile, efficient, and engaging solution, significantly improving the overall experience for event organizers and attendees.
