AN EMPIRICAL ANALYSIS OF COMMERCIAL BANKS LIQUIDITY PROBLEM
Abstract
This study focused on the development of a University Transcript Generation System aimed at
improving the efficiency, accuracy, and security of transcript processing and management in
tertiary institutions. The research was motivated by the challenges associated with manual
transcript generation systems, including delays, data errors, document loss, and administrative
inefficiencies. The study aimed to design and implement a computerized system capable of
automating transcript generation, storage, retrieval, and verification processes within the
university environment. A system development research design was adopted for the study. Data
were collected through observations and reviews of existing transcript processing procedures in
universities. The development process followed the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC),
involving requirement analysis, system design, coding, testing, implementation, and evaluation.
Appropriate programming languages, database technologies, and software development tools
were utilized in building the system. The developed system provides functionalities such as student
record management, automated computation of academic results, transcript generation, secure
storage of academic records, and user authentication. The system also includes features for
transcript verification, quick retrieval of student information, and reduction of processing time.
Findings from system testing revealed that the system significantly improved the speed, reliability,
and accuracy of transcript generation while reducing human errors and administrative workload.
Additionally, the system enhanced data security, accessibility, and overall efficiency in academic
record management. The study concluded that the University Transcript Generation System is an
effective solution to the limitations of manual transcript processing methods. It recommended the
adoption of automated transcript systems in tertiary institutions, regular system maintenance and
upgrades, staff training, and implementation of adequate cybersecurity measures to ensure efficient and secure academic record management.
