Abstract

ABSTRACT This project developed Logware, an integrated security monitoring and compliance management system designed to address the challenges organizations face in maintaining robust cybersecurity postures while demonstrating regulatory compliance. The research identified critical gaps in existing solutions, particularly the lack of seamless integration between security operations and compliance management functions, leading to duplicated efforts and incomplete visibility into organizational risk. The study employed a microservices architecture approach to develop a modular, scalable platform that unified these traditionally separate domains. The Logware system implemented advanced log aggregation techniques, real-time security analytics using machine learning algorithms, and automated compliance mapping across multiple regulatory frameworks including GDPR, PCI DSS, and HIPAA. The research methodology included requirements analysis, iterative development, and evaluation against real-world security and compliance scenarios. Key findings demonstrated that the integrated approach reduced compliance documentation effort by approximately 40% while improving security incident detection rates by 35% compared to traditional siloed solutions. The system's role-based dashboards provided tailored visibility for different stakeholders, from security analysts to compliance officers and executives. The project concluded that unified security and compliance platforms represent a significant advancement over traditional approaches, enabling organizations to maintain effective security operations while efficiently demonstrating regulatory compliance. These findings contribute to both the theoretical understanding of security-compliance integration and provide a practical implementation framework for organizations facing increasingly complex threat landscapes and regulatory environments.
