Abstract

ABSTRACT The multipurpose carousel grill was designed and fabricated to address the need for efficient, durable, and versatile grilling equipment suitable for commercial and outdoor use. The project involved designing the grill components using engineering software, fabricating the structure with durable materials such as a 0.5 rpm motor, 12mm rods, and reinforced pipes, and optimizing the design for heat efficiency and user safety. The grill incorporates a rotating carousel mechanism to ensure uniform cooking and effective heat distribution. Performance tests demonstrated the grill’s capability to cook various food items, including fish, chicken, and pork, evenly and efficiently. Safety features, such as insulated wiring and heat-resistant paint, ensured hazard-free operation, while structural testing confirmed the initial design expectations, achieving consistent rotation, even heat distribution, and robust framework's stability under varying load conditions. The final product met and exceeded durability. This innovative grill provides a reliable solution for commercial grilling applications and presents a foundation for future improvements, such as automated features and expanded temperature controls. By addressing common challenges in traditional grilling, this project contributes to advancements in culinary equipment design and paves the way for more energy efficient and user-friendly solutions in the industry.
