Abstract

The Mobile-Based Road User Caution System is designed to enhance road safety by providing real-time alerts to users about incidents such as accidents, roadblocks, and hazardous conditions. This system leverages mobile technology to deliver timely notifications, enabling users to make informed decisions while traveling. The implementation involves a mobile application that communicates with a backend server to collect data from various sources, including user reports and traffic monitoring systems. The system was developed with a user-friendly interface that allows easy navigation and interaction. Key features include incident reporting, push notifications, and a map view of nearby incidents. Extensive testing was conducted to evaluate the system's functionality, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing. Results indicated a high accuracy rate in incident reporting and prompt delivery of notifications, with user feedback highlighting the app's ease of use. This project demonstrates the potential of mobile technology in improving road safety and facilitating better communication among road users. By providing real-time information about road conditions, the system aims to reduce accidents and enhance overall travel safety. Future enhancements will focus on expanding features based on user feedback and integrating additional data sources for more comprehensive incident coverage.
