A DECENTRALIZED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (DEPARTMENT RECORDS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM)
Abstract
ABSTRACT
This study goes over the various stages in the development of a database interaction-oriented web application, it does not gloss over constituent concepts with relevant definitions, workflow impacts and implications of alternative solutions being established. The development setup includes SSR framework NextJS which enabled the dynamic interactivity of the application in the context of server-side rendering which abstracts most of the internal processing from front-end access. The project utilizes MySQL as the DBMS model and connections are made through our neon database using the Postgres package. The project deals with data that is very sensitive, as such the program is optimized for heightened security: Its API routes screen every request made from the backend for CORS manipulation and CSRF attacks, along with this, all pages are user authenticated on each page-load before any data is transmitted to the client-side, effectively preventing malicious man-in-the-middle attacks by different means. The methodologies adopted in development and project management are distinct, the development follows an object-oriented design approach while its lifecycle or project management technique is a combination of iterative waterfall and the V-model.
