Abstract

This project focuses on conducting a comprehensive topographical survey of a designated area using a hybrid approach combining traditional Ground Survey Methods and Satellite-Based Image Digital Elevation Model (DEM) techniques. The study encompasses Traversing, Leveling, and Detailing, employing tools such as GPS, and satellite imagery from platforms like GOOGLE EARTH . The methodology includes planning and reconnaissance, establishing control points, data collection, image processing, mapping, and validation, aiming to produce accurate topographic maps and a DEM. Despite challenges such as equipment malfunctions, terrain accessibility, and cloud cover, these were mitigated through adaptive measures and replacements. The project, executed as of 2025, seeks to provide detailed elevation data for applications in urban planning, infrastructure development, flood management, and environmental conservation.
