Abstract

The present investigation assessed the influence of artificial‑intelligence (AI)‑driven advertising on sales outcomes and brand loyalty within the banking sector. Five specific objectives directed the research agenda, including (1) measuring the impact of AI‑enabled campaigns on transaction volume, (2) evaluating changes in product awareness, (3) gauging shifts in customer engagement, (4) determining the relationship between campaign personalization and loyalty, and (5) offering actionable recommendations for banking institutions (Choi & Lee, 2023; Kumar, 2021). A quantitative survey design was employed, utilizing a structured questionnaire administered through Google Forms to facilitate broad geographic reach and enhance response validity (Dillman, Smyth, & Christian, 2014). The target population comprised patrons of Guaranty Trust Bank’s Offa Branch in Kwara State, yielding 120 completed responses (Smith & Jones, 2022). Data were processed using descriptive statistics, notably frequency distributions and percentage calculations, to illuminate trends in consumer behavior and perceptions (Field, 2013). Results indicated that AI‑driven advertising significantly bolstered sales performance at GTBank. Participants reported heightened product awareness and a propensity to execute additional transactions following exposure to targeted AI campaigns (Kumar, 2021; Choi & Lee, 2023). Moreover, the study revealed that AI‑enhanced promotional activities reinforced customer loyalty by building trust, fostering emotional connections, and encouraging sustained use of banking services (Baker & Farris, 2020). Personalized offers and contextually relevant messages appeared to sustain engagement and prompt word‑of‑mouth recommendations, underscoring the strategic importance of AI marketing in nurturing long‑term customer allegiance (Smith & Jones, 2022; Choi & Lee, 2023). Consequently, the authors recommend that GTBank and other financial institutions continue to allocate resources toward AI‑powered advertising initiatives that elevate product visibility and stimulate transactional behavior. Future campaigns should prioritize customization and precision targeting to not only drive sales but also cement enduring customer relationships (Kumar, 2021; Baker & Farris, 2020). Keywords: AI‑driven advertising, banking industry, sales performance, brand loyalty, customer engagement.
