Abstract

The security and management of access to residential estates remain a growing concern, especially with increasing urbanization and the need for real-time monitoring of visitor activities. This project focuses on the development of an application for estate gate pass management aimed at improving the efficiency, security, and accountability of access control within gated communities. The system allows for digital pre-registration of visitors by residents, real-time validation of entry by security personnel, and maintains a secure database for tracking visitor history. The methodology employed combines structured system analysis and design techniques with modern web development tools. The application was developed using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, with MySQL as the backend database. Key features include resident login, visitor pre-registration, QR code generation, and gatekeeper verification. This system addresses the challenges of manual gate logging such as forgery, data loss, and time inefficiency. It provides a more secure, scalable, and user-friendly solution for estate access control, thereby contributing to a smarter and safer residential environment.
