Abstract

ABSTRACT In an era marked by the rapid integration of technology into education, the need for efficient and intelligent result management systems is paramount. This study delves into the design and implementation of an innovative Online Artificial Intelligence Oriented Result Checking System (OAIO-RC) tailored to meet the specific requirements of the Computer Science Department at Imo State Polytechnic Omuma. Utilizing a case study approach, this research leverages the Structured Systems Analysis and Design Methodology (SSADM) to guide the systematic analysis, design, and implementation of the OAIO-RC system. SSADM offers a structured and methodical framework for the development of information systems, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the department's processes and needs. The OAIO-RC system integrates the power of artificial intelligence, enhancing the result checking process by automating data processing and analysis. Through this system, students, faculty, and administrators gain access to a user-friendly interface for result verification, in-depth analytics, and timely feedback. Artificial intelligence algorithms optimize result dissemination and improve user satisfaction. This study draws inspiration from prior research emphasizing the importance of systematic collaboration between developers, educators, and researchers, ensuring fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethical use of AI in education. By promoting systematic inquiry and exploring on-the-ground realities, the OAIO-RC system aligns with the continuous improvement approach advocated by Bhimdiwala and Colina Neri (2020). The findings of this research offer valuable insights into the design and implementation of AI-oriented result checking systems, taking into account aspects such as user interface design, result storage and management, security measures, integration with existing systems, scalability, reliability, usability, and performance optimization. Furthermore, the study underscores the significance of AI applications in educational administration and their potential to revolutionize result management processes.
