Abstract

This project investigates the potentialofusing insect-inspired motifs in the production of center rugs through tufting techniques. The unique visual elements of insects suchas vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and symbolic meanings are explored for their application in textile design, particularly as sources of inspiration for tufted rugs. The study combines theoretical research with practical design experimentation, analyzing the feasibility of translating insect morphology and symbolism into rug aesthetics. Utilizing advanced tufting methods and material manipulation, the research highlights theabilitytocaptureboththevisualappealandculturalsignificanceofinsectsintextile form. Findings suggest that insect motifs can enhance artistic innovation and cultural resonanceinrugproduction, presentingnewdirectionsforsustainableandecologically inspired textile designs. This study contributes to contemporary textile arts by demonstrating how natural motifs, specifically insects, can foster creativity, promote environmentalawareness, andexpandthedesignpossibilitie
