Abstract

Frequency Modulated (FM) signal transmitter is a device of transmitting Frequency Modulated signal over short range. This document outlines a straight forward and cost-effective technique for constructing a FM transmitter using simple electronic components like resistor, capacitor, inductor etc. Human voice serves as the input to the transmitter via the microphone. It is then amplified, modulated unto the carrier, before being transmitted. Under appropriate conditions, the transmitter output can be received by anyone who tunes into the broadcasting frequency. Here, we have described Circuit diagram, its working, components required, and operation various components in our circuit, its practical applicability. The design was first implemented on breadboard and programed using Arduino IDE. This design has a transmitting range of 300meters in radius, tuned at 101 MHz. Clear signal from the microphone can be received within this range.
