These babies who are dumped are in most cases, given birth to by teenagers who are unwed. Methodology: The primary research has been done using the quantitative approach, with the help of survey instrument, based on a survey questionnaire. The secondary research has been done through the review of previously established literature for achieving the research objectives. The methodology adopted is survey research design and simple percentage was used to analysis the data. Conclusion: This study revealed that awareness about the consequences of adolescent pregnancy was more among women who had formal education and in those who were employed and had an exposure to what is happening around them in the society. The source of information regarding the same for maximum number of participants was from the radio. The knowledge on the dreaded complications and consequences were not sufficient and it should be brought about by adolescent school education and by way of mass media propaganda
