Abstract

This study investigates the properties of bioplastics produced from potato starch reinforced with 3 of titanium dioxide (TiO.), analyzing key characteristics such as water solubility, alcohol olubility, and biodegradability. The bioplastic sample containing 3g of TiOs displayed a water Solubility of 35.94%, an alcohol solubility of 29.68%, and a biodegradability rate of 66.92%. Elemental analysis through Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDX) revealed significant atomic concentrations of aluminum (Al) at 23.39% and iron (Fe) at 10.42%, contributing to the structural integrity and durability of the bioplastic. The study demonstrates that the addition of TiOs to potato starch enhances the mechanical properties of the bioplastic, while maintaining a high level of biodegradability. These findings indicate that starch-based bioplastics reinforced with TiOs can offer a promising alternative for sustainable packaging materials with improved performance characteristics.
