Abstract

This study assessed the knowledge, attitude, and uptake of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine among female students of PAMO University of Medical Sciences. Using a cross-sectional design, data were collected from 222 respondents via questionnaires. Results showed poor knowledge (31.5% good knowledge) but a predominantly positive attitude (78.4%). Vaccine uptake was very low (3.2%), mainly due to fear of side effects, cost, and limited availability. The study highlights the need for improved awareness and better access to HPV vaccination.
