Abstract

Recommendations The following recommendations were proposed: a.Promote Sustainable Burial Practices: Encourage the adoption of environmentally friendly and cost-effective burial practices to reduce the economic burden on families and address ecological concerns. Initiatives such as green burials or simplified ceremonies can help balance tradition with sustainability. b.Support Community Education and Awareness: Implement educational programs to inform residents about the financial and social implications of traditional burial practices. This can help families make more informed decisions and potentially adopt more practical and affordable approaches. c. Facilitate Interfaith Dialogues: Foster discussions between different religious groups within Abagana to explore ways to integrate traditional and modern religious practices harmoniously. This can help address any conflicts and promote a more inclusive approach to burial rites. d. Develop Financial Support Mechanisms: Establish community-based funds or insurance schemes to assist families with the costs associated with traditional funerals. This could help alleviate financial pressures and ensure that cultural practices can be maintained without undue hardship.
