Abstract

ABSTRACT Managing large-scale events such as conferences, concerts, festivals, and corporate gatherings posed significant challenges, including inefficient booking processes, poor event organization, lack of real-time updates, and difficulties in managing event schedules. Traditional event booking methods relied on manual processes, which led to delays, errors, and limited accessibility for users. Event organizers faced challenges in reaching their target audience, handling ticketing, and ensuring effective communication with attendees. This study developed an Online Event Management System, a web-based platform designed to automate event planning, booking, and scheduling to address these issues. The system allowed users to browse events, book tickets, receive real-time notifications, and access event details efficiently. It integrated an Event Scheduler API, which automated reminders through email and SMS notifications, ensuring that users stayed informed about upcoming events. The system was developed using PHP, HTML, CSS, AJAX, Bootstrap, and MySQL, providing a scalable, responsive, and user-friendly interface. The implementation of a centralized database ensured efficient data management, reducing redundancy and improving accessibility for both users and administrators. This research work adopted Object-Oriented System Development Methodology (OOSDM). The study contributed to digital event management, web-based automation, and secure online transactions, serving as a foundation for future advancements in virtual event planning and management solution
