Abstract

This project presents the design and implementation of a web-based Hostel Management System (HMS) to address the errors and delays in the traditional manual allocation process at Crescent University. The system is a centralized, automated platform for student registration, room allocation, complaints management, and announcements. It was developed using Python, MySQL, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, and a structured Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The system utilizes an intelligent algorithm to consider constraints like student gender and academic level. Comprehensive testing confirmed its performance, demonstrating a significant improvement over manual methods. The research concludes that a robust and scalable HMS substantially enhances administrative efficiency and student satisfaction.
