Abstract

The project was carried out in order to provide relevant information on the said route for rehabilitation purpose which will aid design and construction in the future. It involved planning survey which involved the collection of all available data about the site (office planning) and a visit to the site (field reconnaissance). Ground survey method of data acquisition was adopted using automated survey equipment like total station. The data were downloaded using the appropriate software. Data processing, design and volume calculation was done. The result of analysis involved a digital production of plans which includes detailing plan, longitudinal profile and cross section. A comprehensive report on how the project was executed was also written. It was recommended that the survey information obtained as well as the route design carried out in this project should be kept so that the information contained will be useful for development of route
