Abstract

This project focuses on the design and installation of a 5kVA Hybrid Inverter System at the Head of Department’s office to provide superior power conditioning and seamless power continuity. The design specifically addresses the endemic issues of poor power quality, including voltage surges, sags, and frequent interruptions from the utility grid, which negatively affect sensitive office equipment. The design methodology commenced with a comprehensive load audit, establishing the maximum essential load at 3.2 kW and thereby sizing the 5kVA unit. The resulting installation instantly eliminates grid defects and maintains a stable output of 230V to the load. It is concluded that this non-storage application of the hybrid inverter offers an efficient and robust solution for ensuring continuous equipment safety and operational integrity.
