Abstract

Determining the true size and shape of the earth has intrigued humans for centuries. Today, the importance of measuring and monitoring our environment is becoming increasingly critical as the population expands, value of land appreciate, natural resources dwindle and human continues to stress the quality of land, water and air. This project report focuses on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for Cadastral layout purposes.UAVs, also known as drones, have gained significant popularity in recent years due to their ability to capture high-resolution imagery and generate accurate maps. The objective of this project was to explore the potential applications and benefits of UAV-based digital mapping. The report delves into the various aspects involved in the process, including data acquisition, processing, and analysis. To collect the required data, a camera-equipped UAV was used to capture aerial images of the target area. These images were later processed using remote sensing techniques to create orthophotos. The software used for processing and analysis are Agisoft and ArcMap. The generated maps provided detailed and up-to-date information about the target area. This information can be utilized in various applications such as urban planning, environmental monitoring, agriculture, and disaster management. Overall, this project report aims to identify and analyse the results obtained using ground survey method, space and aerial survey method (UAV) for Cadastral layout.
