Abstract

Abstract This study investigated the impact of leadership styles on organizational performance in selected organizations in Nigeria. A quantitative research design was employed, and data was collected from 200 employees using a self-administered questionnaire. The findings revealed that transformational leadership and democratic leadership have a significant positive impact on organizational performance. Autocratic leadership has a negative impact, while laissez-faire leadership has a positive but insignificant impact. The study suggests that leaders should adopt transformational and democratic leadership styles to improve organizational performance. The results of this study have implications for practice, highlighting the importance of effective leadership in improving organizational performance.
