Abstract

The effect of professionalism on children's attitude to learning in early childhood education is a topic that has been studied more internationally than nationally. Thus, with the ever-growing interest in early childhood education globally, this study was undertaken to address this gap by applying questionnaire analysis to investigate the Teacher Training and Professional Development Programme on Early Childhood Education in Ila Local Government Area of Osun State. A questionnaire was sent to 150 early childhood educators in Ila-Orangunschools to obtain data, however, all 150 respondents completed the questionnaire. The questionnaire were analyzed and the findings of this research indicate that the male children performed better than their female counterparts in early childhood education learning. The findings of this study provide useful suggestions to the Federal Ministry of Education, Women Affairs and private owners of early education centres and nursery schools and offer recommendations for future research nationally.
