Abstract

The Petroleum and Gas industry is undergoing significant transformations due to technological advancements, market fluctuations, and environmental challenges. To prepare future engineers for this dynamic environment, integrating entrepreneurial skills training into the engineering curriculum is crucial. This study aimed to create a comprehensive framework for fostering innovation, business acumen, and adaptability among engineering graduates. The methodology involved a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews with industry experts, educators, and students. The research included an analysis of current curricular content, the identification of essential entrepreneurial competencies, and the development of tailored training modules. Additionally, the study examines successful case studies where entrepreneurial training has been integrated into engineering programs globally. This study revealed a significant relationship between entrepreneurial skills training and increased employment prospects, innovation, and industry preparation among Petroleum and Gas engineering graduates. The proposed curriculum structure incorporates practical workshops, collaborative projects, and industry partnerships to provide students with hands-on experience and real-world problem-solving opportunities. In conclusion, integrating entrepreneurial skills training into the Petroleum and Gas engineering curriculum is not only feasible but also beneficial in preparing graduates for the multifaceted challenges of the industry. This initiative promises to produce well-rounded professionals capable of driving innovation and sustaining growth in the energy sector.
