Abstract

This study examined the impact of personality traits and information and communication technology (ICT) on students’ reading culture in Ogun State. A descriptive survey research design was employed, guided by three research questions. A sample of 500 students was selected from senior secondary schools in Odeda Local Government Area of Ogun State through simple random sampling. Data were collected using self-constructed questionnaires tailored to assess both personality traits and ICT usage related to students' reading habits. Descriptive statistical methods were used for data analysis. The findings revealed that personality traits and ICT usage significantly influence students' reading culture. Based on these findings, it is recommended that educators promote awareness of personality-driven reading strategies, and schools should leverage ICT tools to foster a more engaging and effective reading culture among students.
