Abstract

This study examines racism in football, focusing on the crisis management and response strategies employed by football organizations, players, and fans. It analyzes key case studies of racism-related crises in football leagues, including the English Premier League, Italian Serie A, Spanish La Liga, UEFA competitions, and the FIFA World Cup. The research highlights common patterns, triggers, and crisis communication tactics used to address racism. It also explores the role of social media, players, and fans in the escalation and management of these crises. The study concludes with recommendations for football clubs, governing bodies, and policy advocates to implement more effective, long-term strategies for eradicating racism from the sport.
