Abstract
ABSTRACT
The Research Work tittle “the Effect of Stress on Academic performance of Students in the Federal Polytechnic Mubi Adamawa State”. The specific objective is to examine effect of stress on academic performance of Students in the Federal Polytechnic Mubi. To investigate the major sources of stress on Academic performance of students in the Federal Polytechnic Mubi. The study utilizes questionnaire as the primary instrument of data collection. The instrument was administer to 378 of the total sample of the workers while 370 was successful return. The data analysis using correlation and regression techniques was based on the questionnaire that were successfully returned. The research findings reveal that the effect of stress on academic performance of Students have an effect due to the Poor performance, Lack of concentration, Demand long-term concentrations rather than the short term and Its lead to carryover in the Federal Polytechnic Mubi. The researcher investigate reveal that the major sources of stress have a positive negative impact on students’ academic performance of students in the Federal Polytechnic Mubi. The study therefore recommended that the effect of stress on academic performance should be consider base on generous reason given by Students in Federal Polytechnic Mubi. Base on the investigation of major sources of stress on Academic performance of students in the Federal Polytechnic Mubi should threatens to disrupt people's daily functioning and causes them to make adjustments.
