EFFECT OF EMPLOYEES TRAINING ON ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE OF LARGE SCALE BUSINESS IN LOKOJA
Abstract
ABSTRACT
This study examined the impact of employee training on organizational performance, focusing on the extent to which training programs influence productivity, efficiency, and overall growth. Many organizations fail to prioritize employee training due to various factors, including cost implications and short-term profit motives. To explore this issue, research questions were formulated, and data were collected using structured questionnaires, interviews, and personal observations. A sampling technique was employed to select respondents, while data analysis was conducted using simple percentage analysis and the chi-square statistical test to validate the hypotheses.
Findings from the study revealed that employee training and development significantly enhances productivity, improve job performance, and contribute to overall organizational efficiency. Employees who receive regular training demonstrate higher commitment levels, reduced labor turnover, and improved job security. The study further established that training plays a crucial role in enhancing an organization’s competitive advantage.
Based on the findings, the study recommends that organizations should invest in continuous employee training and development to achieve long-term sustainability and improved performance. Organizations that integrate structured training programs into their operations stand to benefit from a more skilled workforce, increased efficiency, and higher levels of employee satisfaction. The study concludes that employee training is not only beneficial to individual workers but also critical for organizational success.
