Abstract

To evaluate the accuracy of UAV-based LiDAR data in topographic mapping at the Federal School of Surveying, Oyo. The aim of this research is to evaluate the accuracy and reliability of UAV-based LiDAR technology in generating precise topographical maps, using the Federal School of Surveying, Oyo, Oyo State, Nigeria, as a case study. The study seeks to determine how closely UAV-LiDAR–derived data corresponds with results from established ground-based surveying techniques, thereby assessing its suitability for high-precision mapping, planning, and geospatial applications in the Nigerian environment.
