Abstract

This research provides a detailed ergonomic risk assessment of three physically demanding tasks: peeling, sieving, and roasting. Using a sample of 20 workers, the study identified a high prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), specifically in the wrist/hand (40%) during peeling, the lower back (35%) during roasting, and the shoulders (20%) during sieving. It concludes that roasting is the most hazardous task and recommends tool redesign and job rotation.
