DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A WEB APPLICATION FOR TOW TRUCK REQUEST AND DISPATCH MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Abstract
The increasing rate of vehicle breakdowns and road traffic incidents has highlighted the need for an efficient and reliable tow truck request and dispatch system. Traditional towing service operations often rely on manual processes, phone calls, and fragmented coordination, which can lead to delayed response times and poor service delivery. This project focuses on the design and implementation of a web-based tow truck request and dispatch management system aimed at improving the efficiency of roadside assistance services.
The proposed system allows vehicle owners to submit tow truck requests online by providing essential details such as location, vehicle condition, and service type. Dispatch operators can view incoming requests in real time, assign available tow trucks, and monitor service status through a centralized dashboard. The system also supports basic user and driver management, request tracking, and notification features to enhance communication between stakeholders.
The application was developed using modern web technologies, following standard software engineering methodologies to ensure scalability, usability, and maintainability. Testing results indicate that the system effectively reduces response time, minimizes operational delays, and improves overall coordination of towing services. The implementation demonstrates how web-based solutions can significantly enhance the management and delivery of tow truck and roadside assistance services.
