Abstract
Revenue Generation In Maiduguri Metropolitan Council Borno State. The objectives are To examine the impact of Boko Haram insurgency on market activities in Maiduguri Metropolitan
Council and its effect on internal revenue generation. Using a sample size of 100 respondents, data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The findings revealed significant disruptions in market activities, including infrastructure damage, reduced consumer demand, and high economic losses. While government interventions such as financial assistance and market rebuilding were noted, their effectiveness was deemed inadequate by most respondents. The study highlights the resilience of market participants, many of whom diversified income sources to mitigate losses, and underscores the need for enhanced security measures, participatory recovery strategies, and infrastructure development to revitalize the local economy. These insights provide a foundation for policymakers to address the socio-economic consequences of insurgency and support sustainable recovery in conflict-affected region
