Abstract

Organizational conflict is a common phenomenon in healthcare settings and can significantly influence the performance of healthcare professionals. This study examines the effect of organizational conflict on the work performance of healthcare professionals and its consequent impact on the healthcare delivery system at UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital, Osogbo. Using a descriptive survey design, data were collected from medical and administrative staff through structured questionnaires. Findings reveal that unresolved conflicts negatively affect staff efficiency, communication, and teamwork, leading to delays in service delivery and reduced patient satisfaction. The study underscores the importance of effective conflict management strategies to enhance staff performance and improve overall healthcare delivery. Recommendations include regular training in conflict resolution, fostering open communication, and implementing organizational policies that promote collaboration and professional harmony.
