Abstract

ABSTRACT Barbering is the profession of cutting and styling men's hair and grooming beards, though it often includes women's short hair styling and other services like facials and head massages. Barbers perform hair cutting, shampooing, styling, and shaving, typically in a barbershop, using tools such as scissors, clippers, and razors. The practice dates back centuries and requires licensed professionals who complete a barber school curriculum and state-approved training. This paper proposes "T-bukar," an all-in-one Android-based mobile application designed to streamline home-based barber services by providing a platform for customers to find, book, and pay barbers, while also allowing barbers to manage appointments and services. The application utilizes location-based services to connect customers with nearby barbers, includes features like in-app chat for consultations, ratings for feedback, and potentially e-payment options, ultimately aiming to create a more convenient and efficient experience for both parties.
